本来のPT・OTについてNo.９

PT・OTの治療目的について投稿してきましたが、一人の患者に適応のある症候を見つけ、物理的手段（物理療法：Physical agentsのみではない）を応用し治療します。

その症候に対してPT・OTが同じ治療目的で、同時に行う治療は不必要です。

例えば、ある症候にAという薬が適応で投与した結果、効果がない場合、他の適応の考えられるBという薬を使用する。同時にAとBの薬を使うことは、効果の判定ができないばかりではなく、医療費の無駄にもなります。

また、治療とはある一定期間に効果がない場合（医学的には、おおよそ２週間）、他の治療を選択しなければなりません。

もっとも良い治療は、治療の前後で即座に効果が表れるものです。即座に効果が得られたということは、その治療対象である器官（Organ:臓器）に原因であったということが言えます。
